Project red dragon, my 88 mj

Recommended Posts

So it all began with just fixing it up to be able to drive it. I at first intended for it just to be a winter beater. Then that modding/upgrading bug hit me. When I bought the thing it had a blown rear end and a few other problems. For the fun of the rear end fix check out http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3785&highlight= So far it has the new xj rear axle in and interoir vacuumed up. mice made a nest in the thing, it smelled nasty.

So the list of things to do is

1. Front xj axle needs to be installed.

2.The back passenger side was hit pretty good. so a new bumper and some body work.

3.the bed has the tipical rust over the wheel so that will have to be fixed.

4.I found some xj bucket seats for $45 each, so those need to be installed.

5.Sound system needs to be updated

6. custom center consel

7. either 31's or 33's with new rims

8.replace rear taillight

9.fix front passenger turnsignal

The front end gonna come up the same time as the axle swap?

oh yeah, i wouldn't drive it like that for the rest of its life. that's just stupid. I picked up some springs and new shocks. they will be installed along with the axle. we started to take the old axle out yesterday and the stupid bolt on the torsoin bar broke. so now we have to cut the bolt and then try to get the shank out of the bar. should be interesting tonight with that. I'll post the progress asap.
