'87 fuel-miser Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 hey gang , i'm sure this has been covered before , but what has to be done to install a windshield with the newer style rubber molding ??? thanks ! . :MJ 2: .
earl*t Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I had mine replaced on my '89 and '92 Eliminators. The answer to your inquiry is "nothing". My buddy (auto/body tech) removed the trim mounting studs on the 89. It wasn't necessary.
87Warrior Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Just had the local glass company install a '00 XJ windshield in my '92 MJ. It is a direct fit and nothing else was needed. The windshield for the late model stuff is slightly thicker than the early.
