Shop is nuts! Any 4x4 shops in your area? CJ sway bar plates http://www.oconeeoffroad.com/servlet/the-5529/18271.15-Jeep-CJ-76/Detail

Put it between the axle and the springs (you may need to grind some and notch it to fit around your springs) Full size Jeep ones are only single sided, which is what I have to put in if I change my rear diff to an 8.8" (but the price on my MJ will go up accordingly). Puts the shock mount in the same place as OEM so stock shocks can be used. Use an extra tall nut on the bolt through the leaf springs and you're golden!

Well I went to another shop and they don't do lifts anymore, but he referred me to a guy that used to do rock crawlers and is a welding instructor. He came to my house and priced me at 50 bucks or so to weld the perches and shock mounts on. So now I have to put the truck back together (which I'm dreading) so he can get the pinion angle, and then take it apart again and he'll weld it for me.

  • 2 weeks later...

When I did my SOA Conversion,

I had the Spring Perches welded on by a Reputable Spring Shop.

I had aquired another set of Shock Mounting Plates for an 89 Comanche. I Flipped them, Cut a Notch for the Axle, then Installed the Whole Set-up. (With the Stock Springs, you can get Stock Height Shocks) Then I got New Axle U-Bolts.

The Brake Lines were Replaced with New, Poly Coated lines.

The Parking Brake Cables were the Only Headache I had.

After it was All Complete, I am Very Satisfied with the Ride.

I did get a New Driveshaft.
