onlyinajeep726
Can anyone tell me by looking at these pictures if this is the typical pre-'87 firewall or if this is the one with the revision for the 4.0? It's hard to tell just by looking.

HOrnbrod
Excellent Alex. I had no idea since I've never had an 86.

Ok, so you're saying that the dipped front cross member is only found in the MJ's with the non-depressed area next to the oval? The reason I'm asking is because I heard from some users here that some late '86s had the revision for the 4.0 firewall but I didn't know if the front crossmember would be like the '87+ or still like the '86-, ie, both go hand in hand. onlyinajeep726
Ok, I looked at some previous threads covering this topic. I see where the difference lies. Not sure why I didn't quite catch it the first time. http://comancheclub.com/topic/31039-big-swap-help/?p=314518
