jimoshel Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 When did they quit installing AX4/5'S in jeeps? I just drug in a '96 XJ with a 2.5, 4;10 axle and what looks like a AX4. I thought they had quit using them by now.

AeroNautical Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 My 97 TJ 2.5 has an ax5, so it wouldn't surprise me if randomguy is right on the money at 99.
mvusse Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Later TJ 4 cylinders have the same pattern as the 4.0 and use a different transmission. Don't know what year that happened, though.
