Leaf Spring Troubles

I have a 4.5" rough country suspension lift and my leaf spring are sagging 2" lower in the rear. The kit came with an add a leaf and a extended shackle but the only lift in the rear was because of the extended shackle so I want to buy new leaf spring kit. the brand i have been look at is Rustys off road 4" leaf spring kit is that a good choice or is there something better.

Do a search for "General Spring group buy military wrap" in this forum. They manufactured a run of these spring just for our Comanche trucks. Good price and they work well with the 4.5" lift.

From what I understand Hellcreek springs should be available again in a month or so.

Doesn't help you now but its an option depending on your time frame.

general springs sound good but damn they are expensive 199.99 each side and 150.00 per side of comanche club member. the rustys offroad springs sound even better now after talk to the guy from general springs

You really wanna buy the parts that keep the axle attached to the truck from the lowest bidder?

 

A common phrase on this forums has been "Friends don't let friends buy Rusty's."  Personally, I'd rather pay a bit more for quality parts, and a 25% discount just for being a CC member is pretty generous.

 

You're willing to pay $335 for Rusty's but not $300 for the better stuff?  I'm lost.

General Springs have the military wrap option. As far as I know, they are the only ones out there with them.  A double loop around the front eye.

Also they give a couple of inches lift and the extra overload spring for towing. $300 plus shipping sure sounds like a sweet deal to me.

I don't have any issues with Rustys offroad. but the General Spring deal is really good for the fact its a M-wrap..  for your needs they sound like a perfect match.

Yeah i havent heard to many people with rusty's offroad problems neither

Go over to naxja and you will see more of them. I've had his coils before and they were pretty good and didn't sag after 3 years and two xjs. The biggest problems he's had in the past was the trac bar breaking and joints wearing out. I believe theres been reports of the bushings in his leafs wearing out prematurely.
