4.0 Header

I've got a 1988 MJ Eliminator and am in the middle of an engine rebuild. I always do things myself and I like to do things right the first time. My problem is that I want to go with an all stainless exhaust from the head to the tip and I can't find a header for my truck. I have found plenty of headers for 1991 and newer Jeeps, but none for 1990 and older! Is there such a thing? Can I use a 1991 and newer header? What would the difference be?

Try quadratec.com they have both the pacesetter and borla for the 87-90 model 4.0's and their cheaper than pacesetter's site but take some time and shop the internet and ebay once you have the part numbers to get the best price and shipping.

I scored the newer aftermarket one to put into mine (when I stroke the current motor) and just need the front pipe to make it happen AFAICT. Putting one into my '84 J10 first so I'll find out first by test fitting it into my '82 AMC Spirit I just got (doing a 4.0L head and EFI swap on that one along with an AW4 trans)
