Tylerzap
Great progress man! Ill be watching for more!!! Good luck! Thanks man! Well I need to decide what to do to it today. I don't have enough money to rebuild the motor yet. May just look at the cylinder walls and crankcase for now until I can rebuild it. I wonder if there's any vaccume hoses or anything in the engine bay I can get rid of? Whenever I go to put this back together I want to put in a AX-15 or NV3550. Luckily with the parts I can sell off this, and the XJ, I should be able to get parts from Pull-A-Part cheaper than I can sell these for. So I can make some money to invest in other areas of the MJ. I wonder if the XJs AAL will fit the MJ? Here's a short list of parts being used from the XJ: Front Axle Wiring Fenders Header Panel Bumpers Random Interior Parts Lift Kit Windshield A-Pillar I won't start tearing down the XJ for a while though. 1987Comanche
You should take the drive up to Marion and pull the bed, etc off this one: http://asheville.craigslist.org/ptd/3749467765.html It's an '87 LWB 4X4 so it should the perfect donor for almost anything. Tylerzap
Thanks man. I actually would but I don't have the extra money right now. Plus besides the bed I already got all the parts I need. I put in new motor mounts since the old were shot, and got a new valve cover gasket. Will put the motor back in soon. I'm trying to get this running first before body work. Also I'm trying to do this with as little money as I can but also do it right. Replacing parts when needed and when not needed reusing them. I keep changing ideas and plans so nothings set in stone but the XJ will have a pretty good bit of metal cut out. Rockers, A Pillars, and some other peices.
