Axle Assemblies

Any body know off hand if the axles for '93-'97 XJ-ZJ- are interchangeable? I could crawl under them and find out but that grounds cold an wet. Got a '95 ZJ with a bad rear differential 3:73.

Got a '96 XJ with good assemblies but 3.55. :dunno:

The axle housings themselves are the same width but the ZJ uses Coils and control arms on the rear comapred to the leaf spings on the XJ. The axles could be swapped by cutting and welding the proper bracketry though, but for a bolt in swap its a no go.

Well heck. I knew that. Mind just wasn't working. Thanks anyway. And no. I haven't been drinking, altho sometimes I feel like starting.

OK. It's showing now. But it wasn't when I originally posted' It showed .55. I went edit and added the 3. It didn't show' Tried again. Edit post. Still no 3. I don't know. Suffering a severe case of frustration. :???:
