Looking through some old FOURWHEELER magazines,

& I found a write up on putting a hitch on a Scout II

Text of article said;

"Finding one for a Scout II may be a problem, as no hitch manufacturers make them any more- sort of. Eaz-Lift makes a few of them every year sold exclusively through the Scout Connection in Ft Madison, Iowa"

This magazine is old,

as in November 1994 old :)

but Eaz-Lift is still around;

I wonder if they're still willing to do small runs of hitches?

(I don't need one myself)

http://scoutconnection.com/ does still list a hitch for SCOUTS;

(Click on "parts" on the above page);

HITCH (CLASS III) - Fits Scout II, Terra, and Traveller.

Bolt-on application. Weight distributing capacity - 10,000 lbs. Weight carrying capacity

5,000 lbs.  Also available for 1960 and Pickup and Travelall. UPS delivery.

Scouts Connection seems like a nice family owned business

if I was looking for a hitch,

I think I'd call to see if they still get theirs from Eaz, and maybe even ask for the name of their connection there.

It couldn't hurt. :)

Have a few on my phone ,but it will be tomorrow at soonest for me to try to post them up as i am at work right now. I simply found one for sale that was long enough to cut down ,and fabbed up some side plates ,removed bumper,welded it all together. drilled the holes for the pass through the bumper bolts ,and reinstalled with good hardware.
