Back Axle

Started to notice lately, whenever i go up a steep hill & have my foot a little into the gas and hit a slight bump, It feels like the whole axle is sliding out from under me, Like its twisting sideways..

 

Everything seems to be tightly held together o.o

 

What would cause this?

Does the truck move in any unnatural way? I am having a hard time visualizing exactly what is going on here.

Check your leaf spring and shackle bushings. Then get a 3' cheater bar and tighten the crap out of your U-bolts.

Check for cracked or broken springs too.

Not unusual to hit a bump under power and have the rear of a light weight vehicle kick sideways, sometimes called a skid. Pikes Peak comes to mind
