Ill start off with a little history of how i got into jeeps, when i was about 15 or 16 my older brother had 2 cherokees then he bought a wrangler i helped install his lift and other goodies, when it was time for me to get my first vehicle i needed a jeep! i was hooked!

here is a picture of his wrangler next to my zj

wheeled it and just had a lot of fun in it, enjoying the freedom of my first vehicle

then i got into and accident and things got interesting

chopped it!

and i got tired of repairing my rear control arms so we swapped it for leafs. (you can see it in this picture)

this was the finished product of my zj, then i blew the tranny and being a broke high school student i could not afford another tranny and i parted out what i could and scrapped the rest.

(wish i had a better picture, this is from my cell phone)

then i got into European cars, need a change of pace

my mk3 jetta

sold it and bought an s10 (no pictures of it)

then i got my 87 bmw e30

sold it the bmw and bought my first comanche off of my brother, 4.0 2wd little lift and 32s, fun little truck, only drove it in the rain when i couldnt ride my street bike.

then i packed up my stuff and sold my bike and truck

moved to colorado and bought another comanche!

1987 comanche, 4x4 5spd 4.0

has a stock d44 rear end with an electric locker

the front is a hp d30 vacuum disconnect with a cable instead of the vacuum system

4.5" rustys front springs with rustys adjustable track bar and v8 zj steering and the rear is soa

i added 31s shortly after buying the truck.

built a rear bumper for it

better picture of the front

put on some 31s and did some light wheeling

and I'm currently in the process of building a stubby front bumper.

Are you going to add some corner protection? Those fiberglass header panels break real easy

Yes i am adding some tube work and a stinger and a spot for some fog lights

I'm throwing in a spacer and new shocks in the front to level the truck out and possibly work on my bumper some more

i aquired a topper, added a stinger, then added a bed mount tire carrier, then put a stock bumper on the front and took the topper off and somewhere along the lines i ended up on 33s haha

this was early spring

then came the tire mount

well one of the 35s i bought had a rip in it and the tire guy i brought it too said it was too big to repair, it was about a 3" puncture so i sold them and made 10 bucks   I also changed my plan a little bit, i decided instead of the long arms to stick with short arms seeing how I'm only at 4" of lift in the front and have no real plans to go any bigger at this point so i built the beefiest adjustable short arms ever and i upgraded to a double shear track bar.

2" 1/4" wall square tubing with 1 1/4" currie johnny joints

and i saw another comanche in town

also recently took a trip to the east coast (mass to be specific) to see my family and got to check out my brothers homemade offroad trailer

and if your into classic looking jeeps and diesel engines check his build out http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/should-have-started-cj-build-1066682/

then i got back to town and went to a car meet/show/cruise and saw the biggest xj iv ever seen

did some interior work this weekend

Ditched the bench seat for some xj seats and picked up a 97+ xj console

the console was tan but i need gray to match the rest of my interior so i cleaned it up real nice and got some vinyl/interior paint

and installed an LED strip for the 4WD shift light

Also received my double sheer track bar and go that in this week

So i ripped up my carpet.... found a little bit of cancer!  in the process of fixing it and painting the floor black, then I'm going to order a new carpet kit. Installed a new grant gt steering wheel, looks way cooler than the stock steering wheel. worked on my tube bumper a little bit, going to add another stinger and some more tubes below the main hoop and make it look like a prerunner

and i found a screamin deal on a jcr light bar for an xj, very simular to the one i was going to build. finally got to mount the 4 hella 500's that have been sitting in storage waiting for a purpose

and everyones favorite part!!! PICTURES!
