Exxon Valdez Jeep Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Check your brakelight switch, if its not adjusted correctly, it could be keeping your tc unlocked.
cherokee_chief Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 Let me know where you go to get your gears done, I'm just about at that stage! -Ryan my buddy dan watts aka solo fab works will be doing the gearing for me, and wouldnt the brake lights stay on if the switch wasnt adjusted correctly?
cherokee_chief Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 so i recently found out the rear 44 i bought with the arb had a blown up arb locker in it :fs1: so a quick call to arb after emailing some pictures and good ol sweet talking and i got all the parts and a brand new carrier from arb to rebuild the locker for free! also in the process of modifying a 95yj roll cage into the bed of my mj for some sort of protection for now.
Dirteatr717 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 The cage looks dumb take it out! Are you coming with me later to dans shop?
cherokee_chief Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 nick u didint even see it in person u @#$%. u just jealous :rotfl2:
cherokee_chief Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 I'm working on it fellas easyy here's pic with the cage laid in the bed, I'm going to re work the bars that come off of it so they slope downwards
88whitemanche Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Hmmmm interesting! Ill have a diff point of view when it's all done
cherokee_chief Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 I'm gonna cut the bars off and flip them around so it angles down into anouther bend down to the final bend into the wheel wells. basically, cut the bars off and flip them around.
88whitemanche Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I get what your trying to do I used to have a factory roll bar but when I went up to pick up my truck I left it at my grandfathers house because he wanted it for his ranger even if fitment didn't work plus I didn't like it at the time I was into the whole toolbox brigade . ended up finding out a year later that he didn't used it and my uncle used it as scrap metal smh! Looking at this might give me some future ideas
cherokee_chief Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 i figured it would look cool, give me a cool place to mount my highlift and spare and give me some support if i did roll the truck, i mean i have rolled before but tha was in my 2dr xj
cherokee_chief Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 ok brief update. i got the xj tank sunk in the bed and everything plumbed, gas gauge works backwards now but after some research i found the cure and that is next on my to-do list. after the long awaited parts from arb i got another depressing call from my gear installer that i needed yet more parts for the arb which are now on there way! arb is getting great feedback from me once this is all settled and done. they basically gave me all the parts to build a brand new air locker for free! other then that the 13 degree weather is really kickin @$$ over here so ive been in hibernation these last few days, pics and updates soon!
Dirteatr717 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Bretts at the pet store looking at puppies instead of working on his truck... Fix your gas gauge and get those turdy7s already :D

88whitemanche Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Wow that truck is looking tough!!!! Really like that stance
cherokee_chief Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 got some time to play on a loading dock tonight to check clearance, i could have kept going further but i thought that this was a pretty good height to set bump stops at
88whitemanche Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 By the way how are you liking the visor? I just got one from a buddy of mine who took it off his mj? I'm comptiplating to put it on or sell down the future
cherokee_chief Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 i love my visor, i love the way it looks and i think it set the truck off, but hey thats my opinion. u do what u want but i think its awesome. anywho here's another taste of whats soon to come
cherokee_chief Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 hopefully will be installing my front axle this weekend and dropping off my rear to get geared!
