Blue88Comanche Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I found this connector unplugged, i assume its not needed for my factory setup (4.0, Manual). but does anyone know what this connector should connect too? the wires go into the same shield as the ones from the TB.
ComancheKid45 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 The Automatic transmissions use a different TPS setup that involves 2 plugs. That is the other 1.
Blue88Comanche Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 I had been thinking about swapping to the aw4, I know I need to swap a wiring harness but I am not sure what it is called to look it up and locate on the donor. do all the wiring harness have this other connector? or I'd it possible that somewhere along the line my harness was replaced with one for an automatic? thanks
Akula69 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 The engine bay harness in Jeeps that have the AW4 have two connectors for it (on the passenger side of the engine bay back by the fire wall and transmission dipstick). I have seen one 4 cylinder MJ that did not have these plugs on the engine bay harness, but by far the majority I have seen have them, even if not used.
