jimoshel
There was a set of front ( I assume ) coil springs in the bed of a MJ I just drug home. I think they are for a MJ-XJ. I don't have a loose one out I can compare them with. There is a tag on one of them It has the letters, large, JG 3 times. 2 rows of smaller letters first letter indistinct ?208 2nd row 9143 Can anyone here identify them? Also there was a D44 axle assembly, judging by the spring mounts for a MJ. missing the right hand axle shaft. Are the D44-D35 axle shafts interchangeable? Any input appreciated. jimoshel
Not what I wanted to hear but exactly what I expected. So now the search is on for a axle shaft. Tnx Don.
Eagle
D44 and D35 axle shafts are not the same, but a D44 from an XJ will have the same shafts as a D44 from an MJ.
mnkyboy
Keep in mind that D44 shafts are different lengths from side to side, the passenger side is longer but in a pinch a driver side shaft will fit the passenger side. Also TJ D44 shafts will fit the MJ/XJ D44 and are usually easier to find.
