knever3
Would you install an A/C compressor without the lines, (ports taped shut) just to get it running or get a A/C delete pully and bracket? I would like to get my truck running by the 14th of Sept but I don't want to mess with making the A/C complete by then. I figure if I don't plug in the clutch excite wire and pressure switches the clutch won't engage so it won't spin the compressor. Fact or fiction? Eagle
If you don't move the control switch to one of the a/c settings, the a/c won't turn on anyway. The a/c has never worked in my '88 MJ and the compressor just sits there.
NotMatt
Yep, just install the compressor... no big deal.... if there is no refrigerant pressure, the clutch won't even turn on even if you put the selector in the A/C setting.
Blue88Comanche
and if you really wanted to you could disconnect the wire that activates the a/c clutch on the compressor
knever3
That's what I thought, thanks for re-assuring my thought process.
