I've been looking to acquire a recovery strap and a tow strap for my truck. I was in harbor freight and saw their Haul Master brand recovery strap and tow straps. I'm wondering if anybody has used them or read any reviews on them? http://www.harborfreight.com/2-inch-x-2 ... 67232.html

I know their badland winches have been getting alot of publicity and good reviews for the price. I mean a 12k winch for 234 with coupon is a smoking deal.

Stay the heck away from that tow strap with a hook. Thats just as bad as using a chain.

 

I personally have never seen anyone use a Badlands winch on the trail. But what I have seen and heard from folks using cheap winches is as long as you can feed them plenty of power, they seem to work great.

this is what i got. used another persons in the snow and had to get one. no jerking or jarring, it just stretches smoothly then yanks you out.
