XJ Tail Lights Into MJ

Has anyone done this fitted XJ tail lights into a MJ

Had a quick look last time i was home and i would think it would be doable

Any imput would be great

Considering the size is completely different and the wiring won't support separate turn signal and brake lights, it would mean major fabricating for them to fit and work.

yup. it's been done (I remember seeing a latemodel XJ conversion done with taillights included), but you'll need some good steel fabbin' skills to make it look factory.

Did a search and found a black mj with 97+ tail lights Looked good

Will go into more detail when home next in fitting these to mine

By law in OZ indercators lights must be amber

so its the +97 option or plate the hole a fit sealed beam type which also looks good :wavey:

no, but i fitted XJ covers to somewhat fit my MJ :D

Common solution in Europe I believe is to use an amber bulb in the backup light socket and use that for the turn signal, and then use aftermarket backup lights fitted inside the bumper.
