Blown fuse

I just bought a new trailer for hauling lawn mowers drove it 200 miles no problems. I get it home unhook it no problem leave to go out of town for the weekend 250 miles away tbi backfires then dies no flashers nothing. Try starting it nothing but will turn over. I am thinking its the cps thats not it. look under dash at fuses blown fuse. Replace it and being good for 500 miles no trailer hooked up. 2.5 ax5 4x4 any ideas thanks

You're right, a bad CPS will cause no spark. It'll turn over all day without starting.

 

Which fuse was blown...?

Not forsure it was the one for the hazards and fuel pump. I think a 20 amp fuse Has being running good ever since.

could have just been a fluke I guess. I assume all the trailer lights worked properly?

Yes trailer lights were working properly.
