86mj to 97xj front end swap

Wonderd what all is involved in swaping the clips out. Seen on another post there is some trimming involved. What might the trimming be? Do i have to have the doors to ?because they are not on the 97xj.

i know there is another thread going on this but i didnt want to steal it for my own questions.

As usual any help is much apriciated.

This thread from mfpdm may help you some. He put a 97+ nose on an 86 with the 2.5 like yours. As stated in another thread, 87 and up is bolt on. There is some trimming to be done with the 86. And no, you don't need the doors. Your doors will work just fine.

Thanks guys i havnt read the whole thing yet but from what i have read it helped me figure a few things out.
