lexluthier72
Hey All, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get to the upper inside nut on the Idle speed control motor to remove it from the mounting plate? (this is the nut that is on top closest to the throttle body, behind the plunger) Anyone? -Erin

Cheech
I was able to get mine off by using a 1/4" drive deep socket (can't remember the size) with an extension on a 1/4 drive screwdriver. It will be at a bit of an angle, but you can get it onto the nut enough to turn it and not round it off.
jimoshel
We got it out. Used a 8mm 12 point box end wrench. See if there's enough room to use a 6 point first. Save rounding of the nut. Soak with penetrating oil. The only way a socket will work is if it's a very short one. Also modifying a wrench would work. Heat and bend a box end until it looks like the old style distributer wrench.
