SW86
a buddy has tires i can get for cheap but they are 10ply. all ive ever run on is 6 or C load tires. how would those run on an MJ? i figured being E rating they wouldnt get as good sidewall flex and be rough as hell. thoughts? foreman1063
Your assumption is correct, rough and poor handling.
FrankTheDog
I run 265/75/16 B.F.Goodrich Rugged Trails on my XJ. They work fine. The key is to NOT to run the air pressure high. I run them at 28psi and they handle great. Also, when your towing or carrying a decent load it's nice to have the extra stiffness of sidewall with some extra air in it, say around 35-40 in the rear. If you can get them for a decent price I say run them and experiment with air pressure. TJ Rubicon's run a 245/75/16 with no trouble.

SW86
so i guess I'm good since they're radials? I'm sure itll still be a stiffer ride but nothing like bias tires.

Tryem if they're cheap but that's a stiff tire for a light truck. Let us know how they work for ya.
