Lower shift boot cover

Does anybody know where I can get the lower shift boot for a 5spd? See picture.

 

I found one listed at Team Cherokee, but is was for a 2.5L. (That is the one on the left.)

There is a cold breeze blowing up through the 4wd lever.

Not sure but I always thought the shift boot was dependent on the transmission. Not the engine. The hole in the floor board, transmission hump is the same regardless of engine. The transmission shifter is the same regardless of engine. It should fit.

I got mine from Quadratec.

This is what was advert. I thought that the engine wouldn't matter. But looking at my pictures, the replacement is a half inch wider in diameter. The bolt holes don't line up. It is missing the notch the fits next to the 4wd lever. (See lower left on the old.)

Can it be "re-lined"? It doesn't need to look pretty. It just needs to stop the air from flowing into the cab.

I got mine from Quadratec.

 

Quadratec didn't list a boot for BA 10-5. Could the boot be that specific?

 

The BA 10-5 was discontinued in approx. '89. Is the part still commercially available?

If I remember right, allot of people post this. I think someone found a place that has them. I would do a search thru the prev posts on this subject. One of them might have a link.

For the 1% out there, here is the part. It fits 97-02 TJs. (I used to have a 98 TJ. before children. )
