Which do you prefer? Manual or Auto?

I want to shift, all day, every day. I want a manual in my DD, my truck, my minivan if I could. I don't care a bit if the auto is easier of better in any particular situation. I still want a clutch pedal.

I agree with Pete. I had to drive an auto loaner when my Civic was in the body shop, and I kept pressing where the clutch pedal should be when I was starting the car, and not being able to shift bugs me.

Oh, and before I get taken to the cleaners for driving a foreign car, I gotta' say: the Honda gets 3x the mpg that my MJ does, and all that money goes toward "upgrades" to the Jeep. Not to mention that it's 40 miles a day that aren't being put on the Jeep, I'm prolonging it's life, lol.

I'm willing to bet the sticker on the edge of the driver's door says "Made in USA", whereas the majority of "domestic cars" are made in Canada or Mexico.

I hear ya, now that the lift's just about done, I'm about to enter the "empty wallet" phase as well

Haha, ya, I usually rest my hand on the shifter, but that's a bad idea when I have to drive an auto :rotfl2:

I'll have to check the sticker, now that you mention it

What year is your Civic? My car was actually made in Japan, but most likely because it's a first year production model.

I drive an '04 Civic LX, how about you?
