Paul Bruchal
If its not too expensive. The front suspension that is.... Really big with 33" tires.. Want to do a SOA in rear. I think it will be around $30 from Pull a Part. Sky Jacker.

Automan2164
If you left that there with time left in open hours, expect it to be gone. Stuff like that you have to either take while you are there, or have them set it aside for you to come back. Around here, you'd be fighting guys off with 4 ways just to take a coil off. Paul Bruchal
I don't have a ride to get to the JY anyway.... :wall: My MJ can't go over 55mph "deathwobble" and I have to drive 30 min on interstate. My luck.
kyleag89
Its worth it to me.. if I had to drive 30mph on the highway with my flashers on to get that lift for $30 I would. :dunno:

Paul Bruchal
Today I got the Giant coils and spacers "8 inch I'm thinking IDK" plus a aftermarket cable that engages the front axle. I'm not sure the name of it. It replaces the vacuum line that goes to your front axle... all for $30 exact. Turns out the lower control arms where 4-links! the top 2 links where missing so I tryed to just get the bottom ones. I got the driver side off completely off. Then got the passenger side off the body. When to take the rest of it off the right front axle THE LAST BOLT BROKE MY SNAP ON RATCHET!!! omg wtf! Well just the metal tab that snaps into the socket. Gears still work fine. Getting replaces for free thanks to UTI "only thing that there good for". Very surprised at that, I left the control arms behind. I'm wanting all new arms anyway. Got this for FREEEEEEE!!!! http://www.quadratec.com/products/52435_0X_PG.htm

Paul Bruchal
Definitely worth the trip. I help one of my local friends pull his engine on his MJ, he returned the favor and gave me a ride down there....
xjrev10
 ... what is it with people putting the grille upside down? lucky, my best find was a cherokee D44 I swear that grill thing was something the dealer did when the jeep went in for work. Almost EVERY RENIX and early 90s Jeep XJ/MJ I come across, has the grill in upside down.
danno
Nice find! BTW Is that an aluminum wheel somehow welded to a steel wheel???
Paul Bruchal
Nice find! BTW Is that an aluminum wheel somehow welded to a steel wheel??? The wheels that are bolted to the axle? No, its not welded. The only wheels that are welded are the ones that are holding the axel. When I felt the XJ, i had all 4 33" tire with the wheels under the front bumper holding it up. I had to use a giant A frame engine hoist to lift the XJ up to get at the suspension. Probably tipped over by now. :peek: I didnt do it... lol
danno
Sorry I meant the one under the axle on the right. Looks like an alloy wheel on top of a steel wheel. Maybe just the pic?
Paul Bruchal
YEa they are all welded like that. probably over 1000 of those stands are in that lot.
danno
My point was you can't weld aluminum to steel without special procedures, and even then it is a very brittle joint. I hope it just looks like an aluminum wheel in the pic. If not don't get under that Jeep!
