dasbulliwagen
The 1990 models didnt have too many codes to give to begin with, but SOME dealers may still have the cords and card needed to plug a DRB III into it to get some info. It will cost you probably $85 or so for the diagnostic fee to read the codes if there are any there. Those models didnt have good memory so every time it gets shut off, it looses whatever codes may have been set, and needs to start over again at next restart. Good luck. pug
The reason i ask is the check engine light is on. Is it true some years do not even have a check engine light. thanks

You have a "Maintenance Required" light, which is just a reminder to replace the oxygen sensor.
Pete M
yup. it's simply on a timer. it's under the dash on the drivers side and is a clear plastic housing like 2x3 inches in size. just unplug it if you live in an area that doesn't require it to be functional.
