fiatslug87 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 What are these two holes for? It looks like there's a potentiometer adjustment post in each one. This is the stock AM/FM cassette player from a '96 XJ. Thanks.
HOrnbrod Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Most stereo radios have pots for the final amplifier stage left and right gain vs. distortion adj., a balance pot, and a trimmer capacitor for the antenna. The trimmer capacitor is usually white. As far as the stock Jeep unit goes, I don't have one anymore to look. :dunno:

jimoshel Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Try going to a TV Radio repair shop. Explain the problem and ask if you can browse thru their Sams Photo Fact manuals. You'll need the make and model number. Might even have access to them on line. It's been a couple years since I used them.
