I've run Wix on my truck since I got it, but it appears that, if you watch the local AutoZone/O'Reilly's ads, you can get a Mobil1 oil and filter kit for less money than buying 6 quarts of good conventional and a Wix filter. knever3 Posted August 8, 2011 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I don't have any experience with Mobile 1 filters, if they are their premium line like their full synthetic stuff I would say they would be good. I myself use AMS Oil filters and Castrol GTX, Castrol Syntec in the car. I buy the filters from Belle Tire and from what I've seen from every other filter I've picked up at the auto parts store and/or tried personally I perfer the AMS. They aren't that expensive either. For a step up from that try Royal Purple ULTRA premium filters, they are made from synthetic materials exclusively for synthetic oils.
