pamike
found this on ebay. what does everyone think about it? i don't really need a bumper thats extremely heavy duty. i just want somthing i can pull people out with, or get pulled out. and the price is good to. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-01-XJ ... 3a6392dcc1
jimoshel
I really don't know what bumpers sell for or are worth as I always build my own. It looks to be a nice unit and worth the money.
87Warrior
Seems like it needs more frame tie-in. That thing is just using the stock bumper mounts. Plus, its ugly (opinion of course) You could go with something like this if you want a winch plate and tow hook for just a little bit more: http://detoursusa.com/xjbackbone.php
pamike
well i was acctually looking at this. http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/index. ... ucts_id=90 because i'm probably not going to be getting a winch anytime soon. then i ran accross the ebay bumper. i know it's not the best looking but i was interested in it because it has the tow points i want and the price is good. Garvin
Are you looking for new or just something that works with tow points? If it doesn't have to be brand new, look on craigslist. I see bumpers from home made ones to ARB bumpers for $500 and less that are in great condition (not sure how far you are from central Jersey but I've seen a lot for sale on the PA side of the river also). IMO anyway.. Backbone Warn Trans4ormer

87Warrior
The WARN Trans4mer is by far the best looking "grill guard" style set up for our trucks, if you ask me. I've never been a big fan of 'grill guards' but the Warn unit looks good  The C4x4 tow hooks sound like they would meet your requirements without much up front cash. There are a ton a high quality front bumpers out there. You just need to establish a budget and figure out what you want out of a bumper up front. mvusse
First one is butt ugly and doesn't tie into the frame enough. Also the winch mount looks weak. Second one looks a bit better and definitely stronger.
Incommando
I have done busines with the owner f Detours a couple of times and would not hesitate to do so again. Any one else notice that hey have sliders for an MJ on their "custom fab" page? :brows:
