mnkyboy Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I replaced my door hinges yesterday and discovered a useful tid bit I figured I would pass on. The back door hinges from an XJ will swap to the front,this is usefull because rear doors don't see the use the fronts do so you can find them in excellent shape at the junk yard. I used the back door hinges off my totalled XJ on the MJ now my doors function like new.

kyleag89 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 When I needed hinges I went to the pick n pull but they don't allow power tools. I found an XJ with cracked welds and jumped on the door til they broke free then unbolted them from the door.

I thought about it but I'm not sure how well that would work long term with part of the hinge missing and the door held on with just a roll pin,I would rather my doors seal correctly.
