HOrnbrod
How sweet it is. First US based team to win the Stanley Cup on the road in :Canadaflag: in 82 years. Sweet revenge from last year.
vaquaro
:Canadaflag: The game results were not we hoped for here in Vancouver , but the the best team won ! The worst loss was our pride in our city going up in flames , as the world watched rioting thugs go amok in down-town Vancouver . :( :shake: :shake: :shake:

It's not just a Vancouver thing, unfortune .It's world wide. A bunch of punks, vandals and thieves, not sport fans, using it as an excuse to destroy amd steal. :Canadaflag: :shake: :USAflag:

The punks have no fear of authority..........
terrawombat
The news of these riots really irritated me. I've been a long-time hockey fan and have played for over 20 years. The sport simply isn't popular amongst many American citizens and we've always looked to our border buddies in the north for some inspiration since all of the Canadian hockey teams seem to have an extremely strong and passionate fan-base. However, when you see the fans (or rioters/looters posing as Canucks fans) vandalizing their own city after an important loss, it isn't exactly leading by example. But to get back on topic - it was quite a roller coaster of a series. I really am not a big fan of Luongo so watching his meltdown was somewhat satisfying. Gotta love seeing old man Recchi hoist up another cup. How does this guy still play at such a competitive level?
HOrnbrod
And how about Tim Thomas? God couldn't have scored on him last night. What a rags-to-riches story he is. He looks like Larry the Cable Guy and plays like the old Bruin greatest goalie ever Tony Esposito. Now if the Red Sox can pull the Series out................

jimoshel
Yep. Another old man who can keep up with those youngsters! Old men ain't supposed to keep up. They're supposed to be sitting on their butts having some youngster bringing them a cold beer. :D
maddzz1
Yep, and Thomas broke alot of records on the way to the cup this year too. Highest save% reg season and playoffs Most saves in a playoff year Most saves in a stanley cup final. Plus we got to beat Montreal and get revenge on Philli in the playoffs too.
