H3RESQ
Ok, so searched a little and not getting the exact info I want. Lets use a 6 inch lift spring for example. (same brand, considering some are different rates, and colors(lol) Is there any difference at all between a TJ and XJ lift coil. (spring rate, height, size, lift you will get on a MJ comparitivly to there proper vehicle application, etc, etc.) I know answers to a couple of the questions but figure since I'm throwing this post up we might as well discuss every aspect of the question. Cheers, Jason
Sir Sam
Tj coils are IIRC 2" shorter than XJ coils. So swapping stock XJ coils into a TJ will lift it ~2". If you find some V8 ZJ up country coils it would lift a TJ ~4"
mkbruin
Free height is about the same, but TJ coils have a much lower spring rate. That, however, does not stop some lift manufacturers from using the same coils for TJ/ZJ/XJ.
H3RESQ
Ok, so does anyone know what brands make specific coils for XJ/MJ that are the proper rate, and what companys throw them all together as the same? Basically what brands have the appropriate spring rate for our MJ's. This could make a big difference in performance depending what brand you buy. (especially if your running sway bar eliminators rather than lets say a Anti-rock.

mkbruin
Most companies won't list their spring rates. Factory rates at this link below: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27675 Aftermarket usually are ~180, to account for bumpers, winches, etc. If its sold as for the XJ, it should have an appropriate rate.
