Engine Swap

Hey Guys,

I have the opportunity to get a wrecked 2000 Cherokee for cheap and was wondering if it would be easier to just swap the engine and electronics into my 1990 Comanche or just use the block.

what's wrong with the current engine?

blown head gasket, cracked head, and 275,000 miles. The one I can get only has 130,000 miles on it.

Just use the block and heads with your electronics. Careful that the 2000 doesn't have a cracked head. The 2000 and 2001 (maybe even 2002) 4.0 had a head cracking issue that basically strikes all engines. Some crack early, some crack late after the body is gone. Some crack and only weep water into the bottom end slowly.
