What Universal Trailer Hitch are you running?

I need a frame mounted hitch but I am unsure which universal to buy. Any input?

There's been a lot of talk about hitches in this topic, though not much lately.

 

I am still waiting for a drawing of the reese hitch side plate so I can make a pattern for the adapret I was talking about in the post.

I saw that link but I sort of don't have time to wait for production. Isn't there a universal I can get at the parts store that just needs little spacers to work?

well the one in the first post of that article would work if you drilled holes in the frame for the mounting. Other than that there are a few places you might find one for sale online, but they are far from cheap if made just for the MJ.

 

If time is more of a problem than money U-Haul told me that they would make me one from the old plans and install it for something like $500.

there is also one here for abotu 240 thats made for the MJ, though I didn't call to make sure they still have any stock.

I have a new, never installed U-Haul hitch you can have for $210, plus shipping. Also have a couple original MJ hitches if you want one bad enough. $10,000 each, or swap straight across for a '90, 91, 92 MJ. :doh:
