jmderyke
I'm sick of my vacuum switch on my d30 and I want to know if anyone has been using a posi lok cable engagement and if they had any long term problems with them? I know that I can lock the axle permanently but I was wanting to avoid that. And possibly if someone has a posi lok #920 setup for sell that I can get for cheap??

mnkyboy
Why would you want the CAD to function?
jmderyke
I'm not a big offroader and use my truck as my daily driver so having the cad being able to disengage will save a little wear and tear on the front end and gas (even though its not much)
Pete M
it's so little as to be unmeasurable. (meaning that you would never be able to make up the cost of the posilok in theoretical gas saved) don't sweat it. the CAD was a mistake that Jeep eventually rectified. mnkyboy
My 90 XJ came w/o the cad,its got over 200,000 on the stock D30 so having the cad isn't gonna make your axle live any longer. As for fuel mileage I took the cad D30 out of my MJ and put in a non cad D30,I saw no change in fuel mileage.
