Dana 60 Help! ...... Piggy backing topics

Recommended Posts

So I want to run 37s on my XJ, I have been collecting parts for a while and have tons of stuff, except the Axles ........

Can someone help me with this ....... http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 50224.html

Anyone use their ID skills, would these be a good set? they look like 16 inch wheels, 8 lug .... Anyone have any insight?

Thanks!

I realize I already have wheels ........ prob should have waited on that ........ 5x4.5

Anyone run 37s on stock XJ dana 44 rear? ..... I'm assuming thats the best option and pair it with a 44 in the front. I'm light footed.

Jeep never had a 60 front in any model.

Its probably a J20 set, HD44 front, 60 rear.

Its also passenger drop, so it won't fly unless you do a d300 swap

edit: There was a closed knuckle 60 front in the Kaiser M715/725, but this set is an open knuckle, which rules out any Jeep facroty 60.

Thanks! Yea, I'm going to do some more research on the FSJ stuff, Honcho, Gladiator etc. but I'm kind of thinking just sourcing the XJ 44 since it seems pretty bolt-in-able.

Are you looking for a front, rear, or both?

The FSJ's came with terrible gear ratios from the factory. Unless you are going big and need 4.56 or better gears, they aren't worth the time. Also, you will have issues with bolt patterns.

For just a rear, I would look at xj/mj 44's, mj model 20, or ford 8.8
