manche75
Will 97-01 bumpers fit directly onto my 93 xj without modification? If not what needs to be done?
johnnyc
I assume you're talking about the front bumper. I had one on my MJ for a while. It went on with no problems. Of course, it looks better if you have the late model flares as well.
manche75
cool. thats what I was looking for. I'm going to make an SRT-6 version of an xj and those would be perfect painted body color.
shelbyluvv
STOP!!!! You have to cut your fenders even with the bottom of the header panel. The 97+ fenders are already cut.
Sir Sam
You will need the 97+ bumper brackets as well.
manche75
Whew!!! Good thing I read that. I was at the junkyard today and almost got one.
johnnyc
Whoops, sorry about that. Totally forgot. I cut the fenders on my 96 XJ to clear my C4X4 bumper some years ago. It's really easy to get a nice clean cut. Then I just covered the cut edge with some door moulding. So don't let a little cutting stop you. ;)
