tugalo Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I just scored an instrument cluster from an 87 MJ with full gauges and tach, only problem is, it was a 4 cyl and my truck has a 6 cyl. Anybody know if the tach will work? I took the cluster apart and there is no switch on the tach for 4,6,or 8 cyl.

Eagle Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Then you have the early style, and the only way to correct for number of cylinders is to change out a resistor.
