starter relay Q's

I just change my starter relay but forgot to check where the wires were going

 

I know the ground one beacuse it has a clip on it

 

but after that I'm left with 3

3 - Bk/Wh

1 - Gn

2 - Or w/fuse link

 

not sure I got them in the right place

can anyone input on this plz

found something on the net

it says

1 orange

2 green

3 black

 

can anyone pop their hood and confirm this?

And this is my '89 4.0L Automatic, I labeled it according to the '90 FSM.

I think you got one right, the center green one to the Solenoid.

Orange goes to Ballast Resistor.

Black/White to Ignition.

Green from the black/white bundle to Ground.

thats all I needed to complete this

I've changed:

the starter

the selenoid

the realy

the wires

 

the ignition switch before that

and still no start

 

any suggestions I'm kinda lost here

Is it turning over but not starting? or is it not doing anything when you turn thr key

the fuel pump goes then there is a clic (wich I assume is the relay)

but nothing after that

Maybe check the fusible links by the solenoid. Give them a tug. Sometimes they look fine but will stretch like taffy when pulled.

no more fuse link there I've replace that with a solid wire

could I've fried the relay or the cpu in the process?
