JEEPER1
well I'm trying to take advantage of extra parts i have layin around and have a few questions, first is i have a broken shock up front, and don't want to replace it yet because i getting ready to order a 4in lift that will come with shocks, however just to get me by i noticed that i have a new set of ranchos from my old YJ i used to have , so the first q is do yj and mj front shocks retro? next q , the shocks where for a yj with 3 in lift. if they are a retro, and i put the 2 inch R.E. coil spacers in will they work ok?and last i just bought this mj and its the first 4x4 comanche that ive owned, so I'm not sure how they sit from the factory, its got 31 10.50s on it and has plenty of tire clearance, does that sound like a factory suspention? or do you think theres a very mild lift or add a leaf the plan if everything works is to put the ranchos up front with the coil spacers and buy a set of chevy drop shackles for the rear, just to give it a better stance for next to zero mony til i can get my liftkit and 33s. sorry about the long windedness of this post, Eric
Motion Offroad
The lower shock mount on a YJ is different than your MJ. The MJ uses a bar-pin where the YJ does not. You can use the YJ shock but you'll need to put a bar-pin in it to work on your MJ.
