artimus Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I have a newer deck, and the little red security light didnt even flash, but i moved around a fuse and got it to start blinking. Still after that when i hook the faceplate up, the faceplate gets no power even though the little red security light flashes. does anyone know do i need a new faceplate?
JeffN Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Try using an eraser over the terminals on the back of the faceplate and the front of the radio. Give them a good buffing till they are shiny brass again

Jay Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 I had the same problem with a sony x-plode I put in my 86. I changed the radio fuse in my fuse box, the inline fuse that came with the wiring harness, and the fuse on the back of the radio, never had a problem after that.
