flint54 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Borla #17010 says for 87-90, and Borla #17020 says for 91-92. I'm so far unable to find info on the technical difference between the two. I have a 92, but found a #17010 locally. Any of you know the difference? Thanks!
johnnyc Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Your 92 is an HO, the 87-90 are Renix. So they are two different headers. FWIW, I've had the same Borla header on a 96 XJ, 98 XJ, and now my 92 MJ.

jpnjim Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I have no experience with either Borla, but the factory Renix header has a provision for the EGR, and the O2 sensor. HO does not have EGR, and moved the O2 sensor to the headpipe.
JeepcoMJ Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 btw borla headers DON'T work with a mid '99 or newer intake manifold, unless you're good at massaging metal with a bit of heat.
