4x4 transmission swap

What is a good transmission to use for the my 4x4 swap? right now I have a 2wd 89 with the 4.0 I6 dana 35 rear end. don't know if that was a help. Thanks

What tranny do you have now?

Two choices for manual:

BA/10 or the AX15....

 

Ummm....I'm gonna go with the AX15

 

If you have an automatic, AW4.

Make sure the front end you put in is geared the same as what you are now. Should be 3.55 and your transmission donor should be the same being a 4.0.

Thank you but I allready know. The only thing I did not know is that thwre

is only one transmission I can use which is great. And I

am going to be running 4:10 gears with a ford 8.8 rear

end. :D
