mvusse
Your vacuum booster has sprung a leak.
HOrnbrod
Your vacuum booster has sprung a leak. Or the vacuum hose or check valve if you're lucky. But it's usually the booster internal diaphragm as mvusse says. :( Might be a good time to upgrade to the XJ or WJ dual diaphragm booster/master.

HOrnbrod
Where is the check valve? Mine has been hissing too. It's the plastic elbow (or straight in some models) connected to the booster vacuum hose that plugs into the booster grommet. The housing can be cracked internally. Usually removing it and doing a high tech suck and blow with your mouth can determine if it's AFU. :D
