will a swb fuel tank swap into my 86 lwb?

my tank is pretty grungy in the 86 and my neighbour who rolled his 88 swb has a brand new tank, so I'm wondering if it will bolt in without hasses. -thanks.

ps - i did the search and found the different lenghts from the filler to the ends of the tank.

thanks jimoshel, it was your fuel-tank pic-post i was looking at but that was about doing the opposite. - putting the big one in the swb.

from the pics it looks like it will bolt in fine, but looks like the filler will be waaaaay too far forward. ?? looking forward to tryiing it but it will be a few days yet as my back has gone "out' and its very bad weather here right now.

i have my figers crossed that it will work.
