Header panel differences.

So I stole this picture from "THE BOMB",

 

 

I believe he said it's from an 86. Am I crazy or is it different than 87+?

 

Anyone have any pics? Did it change more than once?

There are a few minor differences. My '87 had the prop rod riveted to the Driver's side of the header panel and the retaining clip on the pass side. The '90 has a much smaller prop rod on the pass side inner fender and this seems to be the XJ/MJ standard.

The '87 4 cyl rad was really easy to reach. The '90 4.0 radiator is tucked under the header panel.
