kbusch18
hey just wondering i don't have a picture sorry just wondering if anyone knows what this sensor is that i am looking at its on a inline 6 87 engine the sensor screws into the block just above the oil pan and right below the exhaust manifold it snapped off the part that did so is plastic and is held onto a square pin as well it comes from the same bundle of wires as the oxygen sensor went to advance no one seems to know that it exists
JeepcoMJ
it's the knock sensor. without it, the engine will run like crap.

JeepcoMJ
the new one actually bolts on and has a plug in it that looks like the plug for an injector. IIRC, it's white. it is a direct replacement part, and works great!
