aperseghin Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Is there a tcu for the renix aw4 setup? The shift points could be a little smoother and probably save gas as well?
Eagle Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 The "Power - Comfort" switch smooths out the shift points in the "Comfort" mode, and results in worse gas mileage because smooth shifting = slipping transmission. After the Renix era, Chrysler dropped the switch and hard-wired the TCU in the "Power" configuration for improved economy and transmission life.
knever3 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Have you changed your fluid and filter lately? I changed it in my '98XJ and the shifts were much smoother, at first I didn't like it but after it was so nice.
