Will a 99 Grand Cherokee Dana 30 work in my 87 MJ? Found one CHEAP!

Not really. '99 was the first year for the WJ Grand Cherokee. The hub bolt circle is different from the XJ and MJ.

NOPE.... spring perches are different, wheel bolt pattern is different, and its low pinion. Sorry. One from a 98 and older grand will work though. You need to keep in mind your gear ratios need to match too when shopping for one. Good luck!

I know about gear ratios....just was unsure about the perch specs.

if the lower control arms are still available, they are a nice upgrade for stock up to a 2" lift (3" if you re-shim the LCA mounht). :thumbsup:

Yeah, the angle on them are nice...the WJ knuckles are nice too....

 

But I am going to go SOA...so I will need aftermarket control arms.
