I have always been partial to the grilles with fewer slots, but the more I see the 10 slot grilles and now that one :idea: I might actually have to change mine as well. I have always had 2 door XJ's in the past, with the big roomy door. I love the MJ, but driving one is not for me.... WIth that said, it is going to a good home, fellow CC member MVUSSE is trading me his 1994 2 door XJ today for my MJ, so he will now own 2 87 MJ's, one LWB, and one SWB. I know he will take good care of her... Here are the last things I did for him before letting it go: Got rid of the love handles.... Installed the center console... Just a last couple love shots.... Marcel (MVUSSE) will be trading grills with me, so I get to keep the 21 slot... Next time you see her, she will be Marcel's! And I will be back in a 2 door XJ where I belong! PEACE!! mvusse Posted February 13, 2011 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Some updates, now that it's been mine for two weeks: -4wd conversion has been finished. Had to trim a bunch of old floor (no problem) as well as a few inches of new floor (grrr) to clear the driveshaft due to the transmission being out of a YJ. -Installed a cigarette lighter so I can power my GPS or MP3 player. -Replaced the 21 slot grille with a spare normal one so Jimmy can have it back. -Removed the budget boost and went back to stock height. -Installed a spare front license plate bracket to mount the front license plate. Have been pulled over before for having the license plate on the dash. Evidently that is not the proper place for it. Still can't believe I now have two MJs, BOTH with a black interior (well, except for the seats in the new one). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
